The best
way to ensure this is the case is to schedule routine maintenance, first off. The
second best way is to stay on top of your repair needs.

The sooner you can tell something is wrong with your heater,
the sooner you can give us a call to fix it, and the least expensive it will be
to fix! Read on as we uncover some common warning signs that your heating
system may be in disrepair, and be sure to watch (and listen) for them the
first time you turn your heater on this winter, no matter how brief it may be.

Strange Noises

Furnaces and heat pumps tend to be the most popular types of
heaters around our area, versus boilers or radiant heaters that you’d find in
colder parts of the country. These heaters have a lot of moving parts! Anything
outside of the normal noises, like grinding or banging for instance, that you
hear when your furnace operates can be a sign that one of these parts is
failing.

In some cases, this can be a very minor repair need—perhaps
a worn motor bearing, for instance. But this is still a need that must be
addressed right away, before it has the opportunity to turn into something much
bigger.

Uneven Heating

All it takes is one chilly night to discover how much you
appreciate your heater, even when you don’t need it for very long. But what if
you walk through your house and notice that some spots are still cooler than
others?

This typically indicates that something is amiss with the
heating power or the blower fan of your heating system. It could even be a sign
of ductwork damage allowing conditioned air to leak into unoccupied areas.

The System Is Short-Cycling

What is short-cycling, you ask? This is the name given to the process where a heater or air conditioner turns on and off rapidly, instead of going through its regular 15-minute cycles. The thing is, short-cycling is both the symptom of an HVAC problem, and the cause of further problems. So, it’s definitely something you should have addressed by a professional right away!

You should also note, in this case, if you have a new furnace or heat pump, and it’s been
short-cycling since day one, then your home was unfortunately not matched to
the correctly sized heating system. A heater short-cycles when it’s too large
and overpowered for the space it is installed in. Unfortunately, this leads to
inefficiency and increased repair needs as the system wears down. If you
suspect short-cycling in a system that’s new or old, it’s time to give our team a call!

We can help you with either the proper sized system if that
is indeed the problem, or we can provide reliable repairs to get your HVAC
system back on track.

For professional, reliable furnace repair in Niceville, FL, contact Kool Breeze of Northwest Florida, Inc.

The sooner you know something is amiss with your HVAC system, the sooner you can work on getting it repaired!

[76
221,223
