However, there are some questions we receive that won’t take up a whole blog post, and we’d like to go over a few of them here. “Can I get vent grills in different colors?”
Decorating your home the way you like can also extend to the color (as well as lattice design) of the grills that cover the room vents. However, we currently only install standard vent covers. There are places you can go on online to shop for custom covers in whatever color your like, as well as in interesting designs.
“Do I really need to winterize my home… in Florida?”
Yes, it sounds odd to “winterize” in a place that only experiences mild winters. But what you’re doing when you winterize your home is to make sure that as little heat escapes from indoors as possible. If done right, you can minimize the amount you need to run your heating system during the season. You might only need it for a few days during winter, that’s a major money saver. So make sure you have those air leaks around your doors and windows sealed up.
“What’s the difference between a heat recovery ventilator and energy recovery ventilator?”
These two devices work in similar fashions: both transfer heat between air currents, one from outside and one from inside. An energy recovery ventilator also transfers moisture which helps with balancing indoor humidity. However, a heat recovery ventilator is more effective in cold weather. Make sure you ask our installers which type is best for your home.
